Happy Weekend!

Hi friends!

Saturday essentials are up on my post on Instagram: @beautybyryulala

Kept it pretty light and dewy with my fave MAC Face & Body foundation, set it with some translucent powder, then added some lashes and lip color for a completed look. I went to a friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party in LA and wanted to keep the look simple since we were expecting a very hot day in LA. Here are the details.

I hope you all have a great, cool weekend. It’s going to be a hot one in SoCal!

Friday Hair Essentials

Happy Friday beauties!

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for a little bit from my blog. I have been super busy with work and especially been feeling under the weather. I’m trying to get back into blogging and posting again so show some love on my social media please!

Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite hair tools that I love to use! The Nume 25mm hair wand is my go-to hair wand and I have another set that I use for all my clients. This baby holds my curls in for days and gives amazing 2nd day 3rd day hair! For my ladies who like to keep their mane styled for a few days without having to wash right away, you know what I mean! Before I do any curling, I like to use a good dry shampoo or texturizing spray and my all-time favorite texturizing spray is by Oribe. God bless this brand. It is so amazing and I have this smaller size bottle so I can easily carry it around with me when I need an extra lift. Of course having a teasing brush is a must for me because it goes hand in hand with my dry shampoos and texturizing sprays. Don’t forget a good teasing brush to help style and separate areas of hair while doing your hair. I like this one I picked up from Cosmoprof because I love the end part that helps me divide areas of my hair and tease and lift accordingly when styling. Finally, to top off the styling, I use a good hairspray. Today, I’m using my Aquage Transforming spray because it was in my kit and I haven’t used it in awhile, but this baby is the best for holding up texture especially shaping and lifting without all that crusty residue from cheap hairsprays!

Hope you dolls enjoyed my hair post and let me know if you want to see more like this in addition to makeup beauty posts!

Have a great weekend!

Thursday night skincare essentials

Hi friends! Hope you all had a great day today. I’m starting to wind down a bit and preparing for a little TLC for my skin tonight, but targeting my eyes. I haven’t been getting the best sleep and waking up extra tired and it’s been obvious on my under eye areas.

I’m using all sample products I got when I was in Asia (Korea and Taiwan). I came back with a goodie bag full of fun samples to use so I’m having some fun trying out some new things here and there. So tonight, I’m using a hyaluronic acid, hydrating and brightening eye mask for my tired eyes (Lord knows I need these bad boys), a Toner/Essence, a serum, and a gel cream (These three products all have Bulgarian Rose oil and other natural ingredients that help hydrate, tighten, and restore radiance in the skin!). Hopefully a little TLC for my tired face will help me prepare for the weekend!

Have a lovely night, beauties!

Nude Lipstick of the day

Having a coffee break with my Milk Jar cookie while I share today’s nude lipstick of the day: Lorac Alter Ego lipstick in Visionary. I love these lipsticks because they are so pigmented, smooth, hydrating, and yummy smelling.

Happy hump day, dolls!

Monday Essentials

Happy Monday beauties! Hope you had a nice weekend and having a great start to your Monday.

Here are my Monday beauty essentials! I have a busy work day ahead but am woke up pretty tired so just wanted to focus on boosting my face with a good highlighted under-eye to brighten my face. My go-to concealer for that is the MAC PLW concealer and I always use a good powder to set it. Today, I used the Ben Nye Luxury Powder which is an oldie but definite goodie. I have a more yellow-undertone so I love using these two products to help give me that boost and glow. You can’t forget the lips! I always feel so much better with a good concealer and lipstick look. My usual go-to lippies have been the MAC combo pair in Soar and Faux. Such the perfect nudey-pink hues to make me feel pretty.

I hope you all have wonderful Monday and cheers to a great week!

Happy Monday beauties! I hope you all had a well rested weekend and a busy Monday today! I woke up to cold weather and rain today, but soaking up the cold before we dive right into the Summer weather which we’re probably expecting the remainder of the week in So Cal. Today definitely went by fast thanks to the DLS yesterday lol

Here are my essentials for today. Went for a basic look today (what else is new): tinted moisturizer, concealer, eyebrows, some highlighter, concealer, bronzer, and some blusher. I love keeping it simple with my makeup! I know, sometimes it can be more boring for some people, but I honestly don’t mind my makeup being clean and simple. I did attend a special event on Saturday and had a full face of makeup on so I try to keep it nice and light during the week if I can. It’s all about how you take care of your skin and balance is key. If I end up wearing more full coverage makeup during the week, I try to “up” my skincare game so I can give it some more TLC on makeup off-days.

Cheers to a great week dolls!

Happy Friday beauties! The rain has come down in SoCal today and we definitely need it so I’m happy we get to experience some cold weather. I hope you all are having a great day so far and looking forward to the weekend!

Here are some of the details on my makeup look today. I went with the mood of the weather today so I kept it light with a nude lip. For face, I used the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and I’m finally trying out the white beauty blender today. I thought I’d change it up and use a new one. Do you all see a difference in the different beauty blender sponges? I’m honestly not sure if I do. lol If anything, I feel like the white one would stain a little more than the others since it’s white. I’ll find out after I wash this one this week. Let me know what your thoughts are if you have used the different kinds! I used the BB with my favorite drugstore concealer which is what I use pretty much on the daily. I also used the LCL mascara by Tarte which I have been loving, not to mention this mascara packaging is gorgeous. Blusher by Benefit Dandelion and MAC MSF bronzer to add some color to my face, spritzed the UD setting spray to keep it dewy and voilà. Today’s makeup look id done! Side note, I did go sans-eye shadow today just to keep it light. I just concealed the eyelids to even out the tone and lightly powdered to set it.

Enjoy the rest of your day and have a Fab Friday!
