Happy Hump Day!

Happy Hump Day beauties!

Yesterday, I had a busy workday plus a photoshoot that lasted into the evening so I didn’t get to post anything up unfortunately! I did have an amazing time shooting with a beautiful model friend and photographer. It was great energy on set and a lot of fun. Can’t wait to share the photos with you!

I had a full face of makeup on yesterday so I went with a lighter look today. I feel as though this is just how my week goes – either a full face of makeup to a lighter lightweight, natural face of makeup. I try to create a good balance. Sorry, it may be boring sometimes! I do try to change up the products at times with what I use.

Here are today’s makeup essentials.

Have a great day dolls!

  • Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Sand
  • NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer in Custard
  • L’OREAL Paris Voluminous Waterproof mascara
  • Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Double Dip

Happy Weekend!

Hi friends!

Saturday essentials are up on my post on Instagram: @beautybyryulala

Kept it pretty light and dewy with my fave MAC Face & Body foundation, set it with some translucent powder, then added some lashes and lip color for a completed look. I went to a friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party in LA and wanted to keep the look simple since we were expecting a very hot day in LA. Here are the details.

I hope you all have a great, cool weekend. It’s going to be a hot one in SoCal!

In a rush~ essentials

Hi dolls!

Hope you all had a fun Memorial Day weekend!

Headed out to dinner and was in a rush to do makeup; MAC Face & Body foundation, Maybelline Fit Me concealer and Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I pulled out my Benefit Blushing Cheek Party palette to quickly apply bronzer and blush. It literally is a time saver for me so I don’t need to grab and open up different products. I can just switch brushes and dip into the next pan. Haha

All done and headed out! Have a great night beauties!

Sunday night mask treatment

Hello beauties! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

I wanted to share a great mask treatment I’ve been using and have been absolutely loving! The Glamglow Youthmud mask treatment is a great mask I like to use when I feel like I need to detox. Glamglow has amazing masks and I have yet to try all of them, but I am a big lover of clay masks. As an Esthetician, I learned so much about different skincare treatments and especially loved the different types of treatments that came in mask forms. I love the fact that there are so many great natural ingredients that benefit the skin. I love clay masks because they target drawing out impurities from your skin so I usually like to call it my detox treatment.

This particular Glamglow mask treatment has three main ingredients: 1.volcanic pumice rock which acts as the exfoliant, 2. french sea clay which helps absorbs impurities, 3. teaoxi green tea leaf which has antioxidants that help boost the skin with a great glow. I like to apply this lightly over my face with my face brush that I use just for skincare masks and then wash off after about 15 minutes. My face feels amazingly soft afterwards, which is a fabulous feeling! Talk about giving yourself a facial at home! This has become one of my favorite masks for sure. I would highly recommend this product if you haven’t tried it yet, but please be cautious if you have very sensitive skin.

🌙Nighttime Skincare Essentials

Hi dolls!

I’m sharing my nighttime skincare products on my Instagram tonight: @beautybyryulala

I absolutely love these brands and they are definitely some of my favorite products, especially since they are all natural, gentle ingredients. It doesn’t get any better than that for your skin!

I have been loving the Boscia Clear Complexion Cleanser because of how gentle it is and helps me maintain clear skin, but I especially like using it “Flo” comes into town (my time of the month) 🙃 and my skin needs a little tlc. Some months my skin feels more oilier than other months so this is a great cleanser I use during that time. 👌🏼

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir and Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré are my oldies but goodies and my go-to faves! I love spritzing the beauty elixir before makeup for a nice priming base and even just as a toner before moisturizer. We all know the Embryolisse moisturizer is my cult fave and I use it on the daily, all seasons, all year long.

Sweet dreams beauties!

Monday essentials

Hello friends!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and having a great Monday so far.

I’m dealing with some allergies and dry skin so for today’s makeup, I reached for my favorite hydrating serum that acts as a primer also. It’s the Hourglass No. 28 and it is amazing. A little definitely goes a long way for me, unless you are feeling extremely dry all over your face. I like to pump just a little bit onto my hands and pat it in my skin where it needs the care. I do this before/after my moisturizer depending on our dry I feel and then apply my foundation on top. The serum is formulated with a blend of 28 oils and completely vegan, paraben and sulfate free. It smells divine! I kept it pretty simple with foundation and made sure I set everything with my Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder.

Who says you can’t treat dryness and still wear a full face of makeup? Remember, you can always build up your makeup look as well as keep it light coverage. Find a good foundation that your skin likes where you can do both. One of the reasons I love the GA Luminous Silk foundation is because it truly is lightweight and easy to wear as well as buildable to full coverage.

Have a great rest of your Monday and cheers to a great week!

Monday Essentials

Happy Monday beauties! Hope you had a nice weekend and having a great start to your Monday.

Here are my Monday beauty essentials! I have a busy work day ahead but am woke up pretty tired so just wanted to focus on boosting my face with a good highlighted under-eye to brighten my face. My go-to concealer for that is the MAC PLW concealer and I always use a good powder to set it. Today, I used the Ben Nye Luxury Powder which is an oldie but definite goodie. I have a more yellow-undertone so I love using these two products to help give me that boost and glow. You can’t forget the lips! I always feel so much better with a good concealer and lipstick look. My usual go-to lippies have been the MAC combo pair in Soar and Faux. Such the perfect nudey-pink hues to make me feel pretty.

I hope you all have wonderful Monday and cheers to a great week!

Happy Monday beauties! I hope you all had a well rested weekend and a busy Monday today! I woke up to cold weather and rain today, but soaking up the cold before we dive right into the Summer weather which we’re probably expecting the remainder of the week in So Cal. Today definitely went by fast thanks to the DLS yesterday lol

Here are my essentials for today. Went for a basic look today (what else is new): tinted moisturizer, concealer, eyebrows, some highlighter, concealer, bronzer, and some blusher. I love keeping it simple with my makeup! I know, sometimes it can be more boring for some people, but I honestly don’t mind my makeup being clean and simple. I did attend a special event on Saturday and had a full face of makeup on so I try to keep it nice and light during the week if I can. It’s all about how you take care of your skin and balance is key. If I end up wearing more full coverage makeup during the week, I try to “up” my skincare game so I can give it some more TLC on makeup off-days.

Cheers to a great week dolls!
